TAMIC and INSTATEC, two companies from Vilafranca del Penedès responsible for a pilot project to reduce 30% of energy expenses in the cellars.

Wednesday April 21, 2016 took place at the Cooperative Falset-Marçà the press conference to present to the media the results of the collaboration project in energy efficiency that has allowed to obtain savings of 30% in energy expenses at the Cooperative and consequently reduce the carbon footprint.

The pilot project was launched just a year ago and has been done by the companies Instatec Energy Services S.L. (INSTATEC) and Tècniques Avançades de Mesura i Control, S.L. (TAMIC) with the collaboration of the Fundació Parc Tecnològic del Vi (VITEC).

The press conference was attended by Mr. Ricard Rull, as president of the Falset-Marçà Cooperative, Mr. Xavier Hill as INSTATEC company manager, Mr. Jose Maria Caballero as TAMIC manager, and Mr. Xavier Ruiz as responsible of the project validation by VITEC.

The project consisted in an energy audit in real time from the monitoring of practically all the power consumption of the winery, the processing of data by a specific software developed by TAMIC and the periodic analysis by INSTATEC, which has led to immediate improvements that also can be extrapolated to other wineries.

TAMIC is a company dedicated to the development, installation and maintenance of data collection and analysis systems of production processes in the agrofood sector in general and winery in particular. This company is installed in the business incubator Centre Àgora at Vilafranca del Penedès. INSTATEC is a company dedicated to integral installations in the fields of construction, rehabilitation and maintenance.
